Groups

In addition to seeing individual clients, I offer several groups, which admit new participants on an ongoing basis. If you're interested in attending one of these groups please give me a call at 720-771-3548. Leave your name and number and I'll call you back and answer any questions
you might have.

Life Skills (DBT) Class

This group helps participants improve skills which are essential to becoming: less impulsive, more self-aware, emotionally happier, and more successful in relationships. The curriculum begins with a two week section on Mindfulness, then devotes several weeks to Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Self-Regulation, and Distress Tolerance, with two week reviews of Mindfulness interspersed. The whole course takes six months to complete. It is based on Marsha Linehan's curriculum. Participants are encouraged to have an individual therapist while attending this class.
(Please call for more info.)

Survivors of Dysfunctional Families Group

People who grew up in families where children were serving the needs of their parents, offer suffer longterm consequences. The habits which helped them survive a difficult childhood can prove unhelpful as they become adults. In this group, clients with similiar experiences will have the chance to find others who had similiar experiences and face similiar challenges. Each week the group will discuss a topic on healing from the effects of relational trauma.
